Marianne McVey

Marianne McVey, 88, of Bellevue, passed away, Tuesday morning, September 19th, 2017 at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 22 at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, in Bellevue. Visitation for Marianne will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday prior to the funeral service also at the Funeral Home. Marianne was born November 8, 1928, in Golconda, Illinois, daughter of Julia McCandles. She married Louis E. McVey on December 22, 1948 in Rock Island, Illinois. Together Marianne and Louis raised three children, Bradley, Louisa and Diana in Moline, Illinois. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting.Marianne was easygoing, loving and generous. She was an active member of the Moline Gospel Temple in Moline. Louis passed away in 2008. Upon his passing, she moved to Maquoketa to be close to her daughter. Those left to honor her memory, include her son Bradley McVey, of Kingwood Texas; a daughter, Diana Johnson, of Maquoketa, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jordon, Claire, Juliana, and Elyse McVey and Julia and Aaron Johnson; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Edna (Bob) Hines, of Moline.Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and daughter, Louisa Kruckenburg.
