Adrienne Ellen (Klein) Taggart, 73, of Bellevue, IA, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellevue, concelebrated by Fr. Stephen Meyer and Fr. Steve Garner. Burial will be in the Resurrection Parish Cemetery, Asbury, IA. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Kingery-Lemke Funeral Home in Bellevue. There will be a scripture service at 2:30 p.m. Friends may call again Friday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home until procession to church. Adrienne was born on September 27, 1935, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Alfred and Helen (Kelly) Dietz. She married Harold Klein on July 8, 1952; he preceded her in death on November 28, 1979. Ady then married Thomas Taggart on August 5, 1983; he passed away on her birthday, September 27, 2001. Adrienne worked at Kelly Collection and Star Uniforms in Dubuque. After moving to Bellevue, she was actively involved with the American Legion Auxiliary, the Bellevue Golf Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. Ady was a very loving and compassionate woman who volunteered numerous hours at her church, the Senior Citizens Center, Mill Valley Care Center, St. Joseph and Bellevue Marquette Schools, and to anyone who needed her. Ady enjoyed spending time with family and friends bowling, boating, golfing, playing cards, and watching her birds and squirrels from her riverfront porch. She will be deeply missed by her five stepsons and grand children, Kevin (Ellen Jackson) Taggart of Dubuque, Steven (Laurie) Taggart of Naperville, IL, and their daughters Rebecca, Rachel, and Stephanie; Mark (Debbie) Taggart of Jupiter, FL, and their sons Sean and Austin; Tom (Ana) Taggart and their son Nicolas, of Port St. Lucie, FL; and Michael Taggart of St. Louis, MO. Ady is also survived by five sisters, Marlene (Bill) Schrobilgen of Asbury, Shirley (Bob) Massey of Dubuque, Nan (Chuck) Higgins of Palm Bay, FL, Moya Breitbach of Dubuque, and Karen (Don) Schaufler of Ithaca, NY. Ady was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews who were fortunate enough to spend many summers with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Harold Klein and Thomas Taggart, her sister Helen Gorsche, and her brother-in-law John (Jack) Breitbach. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, Finley Home Health Care, and her two angels, Sue Frick and Ellen Jackson for their care and compassion shown to Adrienne.
