Audrey Rickerl

Audrey Rickerl, 90, of Clinton died Wednesday, at her Residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Prince of Peace Parish. Father Anthony Herold will be officiating the Service. A Vigil Service will be held Friday at 3 PM. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 PM at Lemke Funeral Homes-South, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Pallbearers will be Joe, Chris, and Zachary Rickerl, Jim Holle, John Koenes Jr., and Jeff Glendenning. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Audrey was born in Clarence, IA February 2, 1917 to Roy and Elinor (Curley) Glendenning. She married Joseph B. Rickerl in July 2, 1942 at St. Marys Church in Clinton, IA. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1934. She then attended Mount St. Clare College. Audrey attended St. Patricks Church and was a fixture in the kitchen at all church functions. She also was president of St. Patricks Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by six children; Margaret (Norm) Holle; William (Barb) Rickerl; Thomas (Jill) Rickerl; Mary Rickerl; Roy (Pam) Rickerl; all of Clinton; Joan (John) Koenes of Fulton. Also a daughter in her heart Maureen (Allen) Bailey of Davenport, IA; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Jeanne Glendenning; Virginia Mumm; Alice Pringle; Donna Rickerl; Mary Rickerl; Jane Rickerl; and Dorothy Rickerl; brothers-in-law; George Rickerl and Charles Kaup; and a very close friend Dorothy Kieller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Joseph; her parents; a daughter Mary Audrey in infancy; one grandson; Jonathan Rickerl; two brothers; Thomas LaVerne and Roy L. Glendenning; and a sister Myrnah OConnor.
