Barbara Ann 'Mihal' Budde

Barbara Ann Budde, 44, of Springbrook, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006, at her home in the care of her loving family. Barb was born April 28th, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa daughter of Coralie F. (Long) Mihal Osterkamp and the late Kenneth P. Mihal. She married James C. Budde on February 13th, 1999 in Bellevue. He survives. Barb was a retirement account specialist with Prudential Financial. Barb was a special friend to many, including her co-workers at Prudential in Dubuque and at Hardees in Cedar Rapids. She had many long lasting friendships dating back to her high school years. Camping, fishing, boating and quilting were among her favorite things to do. Most of all she loved her family. Besides her loving husband Jim, her survivors include two daughters, Kayla Mishler and Madison Budde, step-son, Brett Budde all of Springbrook; her mother, Coralie Osterkamp of Bellevue, step-mother, Helen Mihal of Shueyville, mother-in-law, Betty J. Budde, Bellevue, three sisters, Joani (Tim) Mabry, Arlington, Texas., Patti Braumann, DeForest, Wisconsin and Pamm (Brian) Kueter, Bellevue; three sisters-in-law, Victoria Putman, Bellevue, Kathy (Keith) Boesenberg, Cedar Rapids, and Debbie (Chuck) Budde-Bandy, Dubuque; grandmothers, Mabel Long, of Ely and Leona Mihal of Cedar Rapids; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her father Kenneth Mihal, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Melvern Osterkamp, father-in-law, Thomas Budde, grandfathers, Corles F. Long and Peter Mihal and one sister-in-law, Sherri Michels. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 4th, 2006 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-5 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church. The Kingery Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements. The family would like to extend their heart felt thanks to the Bellevue Community for the wonderful benefit that was held in her honor as well as to Hospice of Dubuque and Dr. Herman & Dr. McKenna and the staff at Finely Hospital.
