Catherine M. Bollen

Catherine was born December 11th, 1916, in Bellevue daughter of the late William and Laura C. (Keil) Bowman. She married Iver H. Bollen on June 16th, 1937 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bellevue. He preceded her in death August 1st, 1975. Catherine was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking, gardening and helping Iver on the farm. Catherine was a wonderful mother. Survivors include her daughter, LaVonne Pape, of Clinton; one granddaughter, Patricia (Jack) Ball, Henderson, Nevada; one sister, Betty Baxter of Maquoketa; two brothers, Arthur (Cleo) Bowman, Preston, Harold (Sandra) Bowman, Bellevue. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Reistroffer, Mary Putman and Laura Belle; two brothers, Lester & William Bowman. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 21st, 2006 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the Church. Pallbearers for the service will be Jerry Engelkins, Michael Hayes, Mark Hansen, Jim Bowman, Bill Sieverding and Ron Purvis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Trentz, Bill Reistroffer and the late Michael Ehrlers. Kingery Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Bellevue is in charge of arrangements.
