Clara M. Hagge

Clara M. Hagge, 102, of Clinton passed away Saturday at Wyndcrest Nursing Facility. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Rev. Shannon Witt will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, August 13th from 3-8PM at Lemke Funeral Homes-Andover Chapel. There will also be a one-hour visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will be at Andover Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim and Dan Bott, Loren Ketelsen, Denis Hagge, Kenny Jo Hagge, Steve Hagge, and Greg Hagge. Clara was born on March 28, 1905 in Teeds Grove, IA to Johannas and Catherine (Eggers) Greve. She attended Teeds Grove School. She married Eddie Hagge on January 25, 1925 in Lyons. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1968. Clara and her husband owned and operated Hagge Ballroom in Andover for 29 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, and loved to go the Mississippi Belle Casino. She always looked forward to her birthday. She is survived by her two sons; Duane (Evelyn) Hagge of Clinton; and Kenneth (Joan) Hagge of Clinton; one daughter Marlene (Gilbert) Bott of Clinton; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; Norma Greve of Bettendorf; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; and seven brothers. Memorials may be directed to Hospice or Faith Lutheran Church in Andover.
