David E. Putman

David E. Putman, 85, of Bellevue, died Saturday, January 28th, 2006 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. David was born October 15th, 1920, in Bellevue, the son of the late John and Anna (Lingtgen) Putman, Sr. He married Thelma Stuart on May 12th, 1948 in Clinton. She preceded him in death on December 12th, 2000. Dave was a commercial fisherman. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during World War II. Dave loved the outdoors, especially hunting and trapping. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Ginger. Survivors include, three sons, David (Cindy) Putman, Steve (Rita) Putman and Larry (Ruth) Putman all of Bellevue; four step-children, Richard Meyer, Clinton, Bill (Norma) Meyer, Cheryl Budde and Connie (Pete) Anderson all of Bellevue; 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Steines, Grace Steines and Betty (Tom) Budde all of Bellevue. Besides his wife, Thelma and his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter; three brothers, John, Richard, Floyd and Raymond; three sisters, Margarite Hall, Myrtle Michaels and Dorothy Babcock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 31st, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Meyer will officiate. Friends may call on Monday, from 4-7 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue. Kingery Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Bellevue is in charge of the arrangements.
