Dell L. Pooler

Dell was born December 19, 1939, in Wapello, Iowa, the son Macklin “Mac” and Helen (Daily) Pooler.  He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in finance.  Dell worked for the FDIC, Bellevue State Bank, and enjoyed hosting people at Brush Dale Farm.  He married Judith Janssen on May 17, 1961.  Dell was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golfing.  He was a longtime member of Dubuque Golf & Country Club and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dubuque.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; children, Michelle (Mark) Pooler-Wilbers, and Christine (Tony) Wahmoff; grandchildren, Loren, Rachel (James) Estime, Eric Wilbers, Elizabeth (Justin) Novotny, and Joanna Wahmoff

Dell was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gilbert Pooler; his father and mother in-law, Judge Arthur and Helen Janssen; a brother in-law, Richard Janssen and a sister in-law, Joanne Janssen (infancy).

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to local outreach and land preservation.
