Diane Dempewolf

Diane Dempewolf of Bellevue, Iowa passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, after a short battle with cancer at her home. A graveside memorial will be held this fall.

Diane was born on December 4th,1954 to Perle and Harriet (Shrewsbury) Scrimsher in Bozeman, Montana. They lived on the family ranch until her father retired where they moved to Rufus, Oregon.

She met Terry while he was stationed in Long Beach, California. They were married in October of 1985. After Terry took an early retirement from the US Navy they moved to Michigan, where they built homes. In 2006 they moved to Bellevue where they owned and operated the Bronco Inn. After selling the Bronco Inn she worked at Mill Valley until retiring.

Terry and Diane shared many hobbies; including traveling, boating, fishing, gardening, and racing dirt track race cars. Diane was known for the desserts that she made for church functions and family gatherings, her love of family and friends, intricate wrapping of presents, and never forgetting a birthday or anniversary.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, her kid sister Connie, and brother Bobbie.

Diane is survived by her husband Terry, sister Cheryl, daughter Lisa, granddaughter Emylie, great-granddaughters Joules and Wrenn, brother and sister-in-laws. Faye, Jack, Mike & Krissy, Steve & Dawn, nieces and nephews Terina, Laura, Nick, Nicole, Nolyn, Adreinne, Claire, Ryan, Penelope, Roy, Zoey, Keith, Beckett, and one expecting.
