Diane Rose Deppe, 63, of Bellevue, peacefully passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 20, 2012, at her home in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook. Inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Diane will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again on Saturday morning after 9:00 a.m. at the church in Springbrook. Diane was born on November 6, 1948 in Bellevue, daughter of John and Berniece (Zeimet) Kloft. Diane graduated from Marquette in 1966. She married Gene M. Deppe on November 12, 1966, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Together they farmed and owned and operated Springbrook feed and supply in Springbrook. Diane was also employed as a bookkeeper for Bellevue Communications, Maquoketa State Bank, Potters Mill and Crestridge Nursing Home. Diane spent over 50 years in Springbrook, a community which she loved. After her husbands passing in 1998, she moved to Bellevue. Diane was a creative person and had a great sense of humor. She had many friends and was often times, the life of the party. She enjoyed playing cards and her weekly neighborhood bonfires. She will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Dan) Wolter, of Bellevue; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Peyton; two brothers, Maynard (Sharon) Kloft, and Dale Kloft, both of Maquoketa; and a sister, Mary Lou (Bob) Clasen, of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene on October 17, 1998.
