Dorothy Scholtes

Dorothy Scholtes, Bellevue, Ia. Dorothy Scholtes, 96, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on March 3, at her current home, Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue, Iowa. A Christian Service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bellevue. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation for Dorothy will be from 10:00 -11:00, Saturday morning at the funeral home. Dorothy was born in Springbrook, Iowa on June 15, 1918, the daughter of Michael and Susan (Michels) Scholtes. After the death of her mother, she lived for 28 years with her sister Velma Ringen and her family in Preston. She has been a resident at Mill Valley since leaving Velmas home. Dorothy is survived by her sister Velma of Preston and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Ed Schenk, brothers Harold, Floyd & Urban Scholtes, and sisters Bertha Phiffner, Florence Dolter, Clarabelle Wilming, & Imogene Lambert.
