Duane Alan Micnerski

Duane Alan Micnerski, 63, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his home in Bellevue.Private family burial will take place at a later date. Duane was born on October 30, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Eugene and Alverna (Burnett) Micnerski. Duane grew up in the Chicago area the oldest of three. He graduated from Argo High School in Summit , Illinois. Duane married Mary Jacklovich, on February 14, 1986 in Bridgeview, Illinois.Duane was a firefighter for 27 years at the Bridgeview Fire Department, retiring in 2000. He was very proud of his service.Through the years Duane and Mary spent time in Bellevue camping and fishing. After retirement, they decided to move to Bellevue. Duane was happy-go-lucky, he enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing. He will be deeply missed. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 31 years, Mary Micnerski, of Bellevue, two sons, Douglas Wheaton, and Joshua Kruszwiski, both of Maquoketa and a daughter, Amy Herman, of Chisholm, Minnesota; and four grandchildren.Duane was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray; and sister, Sue Weidenhowfer.
