Edward L. Lucid

Edward L. Lucid, 66 of Bellevue, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, in Iowa City. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Edward was born on June 30, 1944 in southern Georgia, son of George and Floralee (Brinkman) Lucid. He married Irma Patterson on February 11, 1978 in Danville, Indiana. He worked for Tutwiler Cadillac Dealership in Indianapolis as a service manager for many years. He was enlisted in the United States Navy as a Navy Seal from 1966 1969. He enjoyed archery, fishing, and fixing and restoring WWII airplanes. He was an extremely talented mechanic and had a passion for tearing apart and rebuilding things. Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Irma Lucid, of Bellevue; a son, Jacob Lucid and his fiancée Elizabeth Spangler; and a sister, Becky ( Derrick) Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents.
