Gary Cunningham

Gary Cunningham, 68, of Bellevue, passed away, Friday, October 20th, 2017 at his home in Bellevue.A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Evening, October 24 at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, in Bellevue. Visitation for Gary will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral service also at the Funeral Home. Gary was born July 2, 1949, in Fairfield, Illinois, to Wayne and Lucille (Ferguson) Cunningham. Gary grew up in Fairfield, Illinois. A friend encouraged him to move to the Bellevue area, where he met the love of his life Rhonda Weis. They were united into marriage on October 2, 1981.Gary was a Truck Driver for many years until 1997, when he had been diagnosed with severe heart disease. Gary enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. The one thing that gave him the greatest joy however were his grandchildren. Those left to honor his memory, include his wife, Rhonda, of Bellevue; daughter, Jessica (Joe Glaeser) Cunningham; son, Ricky Cunningham, of Bellevue; two granddaughters, Courtney and Amber Glaeser; a sister, Carolyn (Paul) Bliss, of Illinois; mother-in-law Elaine Weis, sisters-in-law, Ruth Cunningham of Wisconsin, Vickie (Dave) Woods, Tammy (Kevin) Stoecken both from Bellevue; and brother-in-law Bruce (Deb) Weis of Springbrook.Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Frank, Tom and Jim Cunningham.The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Jackson County and the many family and friends who visited and cared for Gary the past couple of months.
