Gary L. Neubert

Gary L. Neubert, 60, of Bellevue, passed away Friday morning, November 30, 2012, at his home in Bellevue, after a brief battle with Brain Cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Gary will be held from 3:00 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again on Monday morning after 9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home until procession to the church. Gary was born on December 18, 1951 in Maquoketa, Iowa, son of Donald and Evelyn (Heiar) Neubert. He married Elaine Mueller on September 7, 1974 in LaMotte. Gary graduated from Marquette High School in 1970. He worked for Alcoa in Davenport for 18 years. He was a quiet, generous man who loved to golf, garden and cook. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Gary adored his two granddaughters Elyse and Lauren, they were truly the light of his life. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 38 years, Elaine, of Bellevue; two daughters, Erin (Ryan) Cloos, of Dubuque, and Kelly (Jesse Griebel) Neubert, of Bellevue; two grandchildren, Elyse and Lauren; father, Donald, of Bellevue; and two sisters, Marie (Dick) Zeimet, and Vicki (Gerry) Kuhl, both of Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his mother. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque and the many friends and family that blessed us with their care and compassion throughout Garys illness.
