Gaynell Kathleen Guenther

Gaynell Guenther, 71, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, November 15th, 2006 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Gaynell Kathleen Roe was born January 30th, 1935 in Green Island, daughter of the late Delbert and Nettie (Keil) Roe. She married Russell Guenther on June 13th, 1952 in National City, California. Russell preceded her in death August 29th, 2006. Gaynell retired from International Paper in Clinton. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and gardening. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Dan) Kucera, Bellevue and Marcia (Leon) Stillmunkes, Springbrook; one son, Mark (Sara) Guenther, Bellevue; ten grandchildren, Carrie, Bill Theisen, Danielle, Garrett Kucera, Ashley, Kasey, Britney, Trevor Stillmunkes, and Kyle and Kaden Guenther; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Fern Hoff, Janesville, Wisconsin, Marilyn (William) Pataska, Doris Klemme, Judy (Robert) Yeager, all of Bellevue; sisters-in-law, Fern Roe, Bellevue and Gloria (Robert) Medinger, Bellevue; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Mary) Guenther, Marion and Terry Brooks, Camanche; other relatives and friends. Besides her husband Russell, and her parents she was preceded in death by one great grandson, Kobe; two brothers, Eugene Roe and Kenneth Roe and one sister, Donna Wagner. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 20th, 2006 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Bellevue. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church.
