Glenn G. Roling, age 79, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at his home under the care of Dubuque Hospice. Glenn was born August, 2nd, 1927 in Bellevue, son of the late Joseph L. and Helen M. (Steichen) Roling. He married Marcelleen M. Kilburg on November 24th, 1949 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook. She survives. Glenn was a farmer. He enjoyed gardening, flowers and playing cards. Spending time with family and friends was of great joy. Especially time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his wife Marcy, survivors include, three daughters, Donna Noonan, Dubuque, Joan (Robert) Smith, Hanover, IL. and Marla (Kevin) Daniels of Miles; one son, Terry (Lori) Roling of Bellevue; eight grandchildren; two step-grandsons; three great grandsons; two sisters, Isabelle Stillmunkes and Lucille (John) Merkes both of Dubuque; two brothers, Orville (Rosemary) Roling of Bellevue and Aloysius (Leona) Roling of Peosta; many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Vincent, Arthur, Raymond and Richard; four sisters, Bernice Heim, Estelle Kilburg, Ida Herrig and Virginia Deppe; two sons-in-law, Clarence Butch Ostrander and Raymond Noonan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, August 25th, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bellevue. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Meyer will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 3-8 pm and again from 9:30 am on Friday all at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue.
