Jacqueline was born on October 12, 1961, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald and Virginia (Lenstra) Kieffer. She married Steve Kettmann on September 16, 1983, at the Washington Park Gazebo in Dubuque. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and the many memories they shared throughout their years together.
Jacqueline worked as an esthetician at Hair Berdashery in Dubuque, where she enjoyed helping others look and feel their best. Outside of work, she had many interests, including volleyball, golf, reading, and cooking. She especially enjoyed visiting the butterfly garden and, most of all, spending time with her family. Jacqueline’s love for others extended beyond her family and friends. She started and led Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in Bellevue, offering support and encouragement to those on their own journeys. Her commitment to helping others was an important part of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Those who will cherish her memory include her loving husband, Steve Kettmann; her children, Brad (Michelle) Kettmann of Commerce City, CO, Kevin (Tracy) Kettmann of Dubuque, and Cassie (Jeremy) Kirk of Bellevue; her sisters, Sandi Baker of Scottsdale, AZ, Jolene (Steve) Humke of Dubuque, and Jill Law of Dubuque; a sister-in-law Diane Kieffer of Dubuque; her brothers-in-law, John (Marilyn) Kettmann of Bellevue, Jim (Nancy) Kettmann of Bellevue, Mike (Dina) Kettmann of Bellevue, Russ (Dianne) Kettmann of Bellevue; a sister-in law Susie (Kent) Clasen of Bellevue and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Maggie, Chase, and Sadie Kettmann; Kaisley and Kaston Kettmann; and Jack, Cash, Maci, and Beau Kirk. Her grandchildren brought great joy to her life, and she treasured the time she spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Milton and Rosie Kettmann; her sisters, Sharon Krohn and Janelle Temperley; her brothers, Scott Kieffer and Paul Kieffer; and her brothers-in-law, Ken Temperley and Patrick Kettmann.
Jacqueline will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her willingness to help others, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jackie’s memory.
