Jane (Manderscheid) Wittman

Jane E. Wittman, 66, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of LaMotte, passed away Monday Evening, December 29, 2014, at her home in Ankeny, surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00pm, Friday Evening, January 2, at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery in LaMotte, Iowa at a later date. Jane Manderscheid was born May 29, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of John and Rosella (Haxmeier) Manderscheid. She Married Mike Wittman on August 3, 1985 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Dubuque, Iowa. Jane graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and NICC. She was a compassionate nurse for 25 years retiring from Mercy North Urgent Care, Ankeny. Jane was a past member of the LaMotte Fire department and EMS services. In Janes free time she enjoyed camping, motorcycling, and travel. Those left to honor her memory include her Husband of 29 years, Mike Wittman, of Ankeny; their four children, Shane (Stefanie) Kremer, of LaMotte, Shelley (Ken) Welu, Dubuque, Abby Wittman, of Dubuque and Jeff Wittman, of Ankeny; four grandchildren Alyssa and Macey Kremer, Bailey Welu, and Raelynn Wittman; two brothers, Dale (Carol) Manderscheid, of Maquoketa, and Tim Manderscheid, of Burlington, Iowa; three sisters, Patricia (Gary) Bonifas, of LaMotte, Brenda (Paul) Pankowski, of LaMotte, and Wanda (Randy) Kingery, of Bellevue and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Lynne (Wittman) Welter. In lieu of flowers a Jane Wittman Memorial Fund has been established.
