Joanne E. (Clasen) Duesing

Joanne E. (Clasen) Duesing, 67, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque. Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday, April 22, 2019 at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue.  Private Graveside Services will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Bellevue. 

Joanne was born December 26, 1951 in Bellevue, the daughter of Wilfred J. and Daisy K. (Scheckel) Clasen. She married Lorin H. Duesing on September 26, 1970 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in La Motte.  Joanne loved kids, working at the day care, being with family, sewing, cooking, and baking.  She kept track of everything and was very detail oriented.  Joanne was a longtime member of the Bellevue Horseman’s Club with her husband.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Lorin; children, Lance (Pam), Jason (Julie), Lori (Ken) Knief, Tony (Tiffany), and Jeff Duesing; 11 grandchildren, Maverick, Melanie, Jesse, Kole, Kylie, Kenna, Alex, Kelsey, Josie, Kendall, and Jaxon; siblings, Donald (Gayle), Darrell “Crash”, Clete Clasen, and Anita Watters; brothers and sisters in-law, Harlen, John (Fran), Ed (Linda) Duesing, and June (Tom) Masbruch.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wilfred Clasen, Jr; sister in-law, Miyoko and a brother in-law, Allen Duesing.

A memorial fund has been established in Joanne’s memory.
