John Richard 'Andy' Andersen

John Richard (Andy) Andersen, 69, of Bellevue, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at his home in Bellevue. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue where friends may greet the family from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. John was born August 2, 1941 in Calamus, Iowa, the son of Andy and Bernice (Hayes) Andersen. He married Doni Hayden on October 14, 1967 in Worth, Illinois. He drove truck for Consolidated Freight Ways for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. John was a laid back man who enjoyed being on the river fishing in Bellevue. He also enjoyed socializing with friends and watching the Minnesota Vikings and NASCAR. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Doni Andersen, of Bellevue; son, Jack Andersen, of Bellevue; a daughter, Jennifer VanCleve, of Highland Park, Illinois; three grandchildren, Alec, Hannah and Sam VanCleve; and a sister Suzy (Dave) Everson, of Clinton He was preceded in death by his parents.
