Judy J. Putman, 60 of Bellevue, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the University of Iowa, surrounded by her family. Judy showed her final generosity by being an organ donor through the Iowa Donor Network. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18 at St, John Lutheran Church, Bellevue officiated by Pastor Paul Gammelin. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the church. Judy was born on June 14, 1949 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, daughter of Ambrose and Lois (Ralston) Scott. She married Ronald J. Putman on May 24, 1965. She owned and operated Putmans Porcelain Dolls in Bellevue for many years. Judy was a special person. She was generous, caring, charismatic, enlightening and helpful. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and cooking. Family meant everything to her, she treasured the moments spent with her children and grandchildren. The time she spent with her in-laws, Angie and Eddie also meant a great deal to her. Surviving are her two daughters, Sherri Harris, of Coralville and Ronni Jo (Dejong Washington) Putman, of North Liberty; four grandchildren, George, Isaac, Tera and Amy; great grandchild, Tretin; A Special Friend of 16 years, Bill Knuth, of Bellevue; three brothers, Allan Scott, of Elgin, Illinois, David (Suzy) Scott, of Maquoketa, and Kerry (Glenda) Scott, of Maquoketa; two sisters, Susan Scott, of Beloit, Wisconsin and Patsy (Terry) Cahill, of Delmar; and her mother and father in law, Angie and Eddy Putman, of Bellevue. She is preceded in death by her parents and her childrens father, Ronald Putman. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lemkefuneralhome.net.
