Kathleen E. Cloos

Kathleen E. Cloos, 82, of Springbrook, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 10:30 a.m. in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Kathleen will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, in Bellevue and again Wednesday morning after 9:30 at the church. A Scripture Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Kathleen was born December 25, 1927 in Springbrook, the daughter of George and Alverda (Scheckel) Gonner. She married James Cloos on October 14, 1947. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Bellevue. In her early years she played the organ in church and owned and operated Kates Beauty Shop in her home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed. Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 63 years, James Cloos, of Springbrook; eight children, Tom (Lois) Cloos, of Bellevue, Steven(Colleen) Cloos, Mark (Marlene) Cloos , both of Springbrook, Margaret Cloos Mueller, of Dubuque, Patrick (Shirley) Cloos, of Springbrook, Barbara (Kenny) Lundin, of Bellevue, Robert Cloos, of Sacred Heart Seminary in Milwaukee, and Richard Cloos, of Davenport; 27 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two brothers, Merlin Gonner, of East Dubuque, and Milton (Betty) Gonner, of Andrew; and a sister, Glenna (Mark) Kueter, of Dubuque.
