Lawrence Larry John Weimerskirk, 62, of Bellevue, passed away Monday, July 31, 2007, unexpectedly at his home. Larry was born June 6th, 1945 in Bellevue, son of the late Mathias Bob and Myrtle (Budde) Weimerskirk. He married Ruth Ries on July 9th 1966 in Bellevue. She survives. Larry graduated from Bellevue High School worked for Products Unlimited in Sabula. He was a member of the Bellevue Knights of Columbus. Larry enjoyed collecting statues of wild life, fancy glasses and dishes as well as reading the daily newspaper. His prize possession was his 8N Ford Tractor. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren. Along with his wife, Ruth of Bellevue, survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Randy) Theisen, LaMotte, Tammy (Jeff) Oster, Bellevue; one son, Todd (fiancée Rhonda West) Bellevue; three grandchildren, Bailey Theisen, Ty and Shayla Oster; three brothers, Robert Weimerskirk, Rockford, Il, Matt Weimerskirk, Kansas and Tom Weimerskirk, Pooler, GA.; two sisters, Judy (Jim) Redington, Freeport, IL, Pam (Terry) Thomlinson, Dubuque; mother-in-law, Katie Ries, Bellevue; three brothers-in-law, Ron (Pat) Ries, Robert (Barb) Ries and Randy (Linda) Ries, all of Bellevue; four sisters-in-law, Rosalie (Art) Ploessl and Rita (Steve) Putman, both of Bellevue, Becky (Kevin) Hurlburt, WallaWalla, Washington and Roxey (Doug) Kueter, Charlotte. He was preceded in death his parents and one brother Donnie and his father-in-law, Melvin Doc Ries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, August 3rd, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Meyer will preside. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM and again from 9:30 AM until the time of procession at the Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home of Bellevue.
