Layna Marie Meier

Layna Marie Meier, 10 weeks old, of Green Island, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Kingery Funeral Home. Layna was born on January 23, 2010 in Dubuque, daughter of Meagan Urbain and Brandon Meier. Layna Marie was a beautiful baby girl with a very special personality that will be greatly missed by everyone. We will never forget her fuzzy head of hair, her bright blue eyes, her bottom lip that stuck out every time she felt discomfort, and her precious smile that was out of this world. Although she has left this world, she will remain in our hearts forever. Surviving are her parents; twin brother, Leighton Meier; maternal grandparents Bernard (Mary) Urbain, of Farley; paternal grandparents, Donald Moonie (Mary Jo) Meier, of Bellevue; maternal great grandparents, Jim (Evelyn) McGuire, of Dyersville and Gertrude Urbain, of Farley; paternal great grandparents, Mary Carol Mussmann and Floyd (Mary) Meier, both of Bellevue; four aunts and two uncles, and five cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal great grandpa, Earl Urbain, paternal great grandpa Leighton Mussmann, and an uncle, David.
