Margaret Lorraine Stiles Ward

Margaret Lorraine Stiles Ward, 72, formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday, April 1st, 2008, at the Brian Center Rehabilitation Durham, North Carolina. Lorraine was born in Ryan, Iowa on June 24th, 1935. She was the wonderful daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Loughren) Doyle. She married Richard H. Stiles, September 6th, 1954 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. He preceded her in death. She had a brief marriage to Jim Ward before he passed away. Lorraine is survived by six children, Patricia (Michael) Hays, Cary, NC, Richard (Rebecca) Stiles, Mohrsville, PA, Christopher (Pam) Stiles, Clinton, Diane (Jeff) Papke, Harker Heights, TX, Steven (Anne) Stiles, Burnsville, MN and Jacquelyn Klein, Spring, TX; grandchildren, Stacy Stoppie, Sarah and Ryan Hays, Sara and Brent Stiles, Lynn and Erik Papke, Katherine, Jennifer and Matthew Stiles, Erika, Thomas and Brooke Klein; brothers, Mark (Rose) Doyle, Mesa, AZ, Lawrence (Jolene) Doyle, Oakland, CA, Robert Gerald (Catherine) Iowa City, and sisters, Elizabeth McMahon, Iowa City, Dolores Callahan, Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Richard, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her eldest brother, John Doyle. Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. Her children and family were her greatest joy in life. She always greeted everyone with her beautiful, happy smile. Her career encompassed banking, office/insurance administration, educational speech therapy and part owner of Stiles Garden Center. Lorraine entered eternal peace with the Lord in Heaven after battling several lengthy health issues. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, April 7th, 2008 at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clinton. The Rev. Fr. Thomas Hennen will preside. Burial will be in St. Ireneaus Cemetery, Clinton. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Sunday, at The Lemke Funeral Home, North Chapel, 2304 N. Second Street, and again on Monday from 9 AM until the time of mass at Sacred Heart. There will be a 4 PM Rosary Service at The Lemke Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon.
