Marlene Eve Fisher

October 7, 1931 — February 23, 2013

Marlene Eve Fisher, 81, of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at her daughters home in Bellevue. To honor Marlenes wishes there will be no public services. Marlene was born on October 7, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of George J. and G. Vivian (Koebig) Willson. On June 1, 1957 she married Jimmy R Fisher in Park Ridge, Illinois at Messiah Lutheran Church. After graduating from Scared Heart Academy in Lisle, IL she worked for Combined Insurance and the Pennsylvania Railroad. After her marriage Marlene was very active in P.T.A. on both local and regional levels. She also loved the time she spent with The Edgewater Mothersingers. Her hobbies included cooking and her love of reading cook books and recipes. She was an avid reader and she loved her Boston Terriers. When she moved to Bellevue 12 years she kept herself active by helping her daughter at The BookWorm where she fondly became 'Mom' to many. She will be remembered for bright smile, her caring words and her quick wit and humor. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Sheila M. Hargrave, of Bellevue; a brother, Randall (Sandra) Kasper, of Las Vegas, NV, a sister-in-law Jeanne M. Hamilton of Cainsville MO., a brother-in-law R.D. (Janice) Fisher of Indianola IA., many nieces, nephews and very dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-father, Edward A. Kasper; and mother in-law, Lola E. Fisher. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Jackson County and to Dr. Hunter and his staff for their care and compassion shown to Marlene.
