Msgr. Edgar Joseph Kurt

Msgr. Edgar Joseph Kurt, 93, of Dubuque, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Stone Hill Care Center, in Dubuque. Edgar Joseph Kurt was born March 27th, 1914 in Bellevue, son of the late John and Louise (Heim) Kurt. He completed his seminary training at St. Marys Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 28. He had lived at the Villa Raphael in Dubuque for 18 years. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Olga Wagener and four brothers; Raymond, Greg, twins Oscar and Winfred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 27th, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Archbishop Jerome Hanus will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There will be a Prayer Service on Wednesday at 4 PM at the church and visitation will follow until 7:00 PM ALL at the church in Bellevue.
