Norma Jeanne (Daniels) Meyer

Norma Jeanne (Daniels) Meyer, 89 of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Unity Point Health-Finley Hospital surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Family will greet friends 9:00 am until services at the church. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bellevue.

Norma was born June 11, 1936 in Andrew, the daughter of Alva and Marie (Mohlenhoff) Daniels. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1953. Norma married Willard “Bill” Meyer on October 13, 1962, he passed on September 3, 2020. She worked at Ensign and also cleaned for many years at City Hall, First Presbyterian Church, Bellevue State Bank, Masonic Lodge, and the Bellevue Post Office. Norma loved flowers, sewing, always took great pride in her home, a great cook and baker, and enjoyed dressing up her geese on the porch. She loved playing old maid with the grandchildren and watching game shows on TV.

Survivors include her children, Diane (Paul) Mottet, Dennis Meyer, Darcie (Stacey) Rockwell, and Darrell (Shelly) Meyer; grandchildren, Nicole (Shea) Wilson, Ryan (Katie) Mottet, Jennifer (Jason) Masnica, Joshua Mottet, Jordan (Meghan) Rockwell, Logan (Kiley) Rockwell, , and Elizabeth Meyer; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Greyson, George, Henry, Campbell, Sawyer, and one expecting in December; sisters and brothers in-law, Lorin “Snooks” Medinger, Cheryl Budde, David (Cindy) Putman, Ruth Putman, and Connie (Pete) Anderson; and numerous extended family.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings and in-laws, Buddy Daniels, Joann (George) Ernst, Nancy Medinger, Janice (Delbert) Jackson, Delbert (Judy) Daniels, Larry Putman, Steve (Rita) Putman, Dick Meyer and Dixie Meyer.

A memorial fund has been established in Norma’s memory.
