Peter A. Sprank

Peter A. Sprank, 93, of Springbrook, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Mill Valley Care Center. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in Springbrook.  Visitation for Peter will be held from 9:00 am – 10:45 am prior to Mass at the church on Saturday. Graveside Services with Military Honors conducted by Bellevue American Legion Post #273 will be at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue also Saturday. Peter was born July 6, 1925 on the family farm, the son of Peter and Magdalena (Heiar) Sprank. He served his country in the US Army during WW II in 1944-1946. Peter married Mary Anna Kilburg on November 21, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. Farming was Peter’s life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, spearfishing, and playing euchre. He also did butchering and smoked sausage. Peter will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anna; children, Joyce (Robert) Clarin, Dale (Janet) Sprank, Glen (Gerianne) Sprank, Kate (Charlie) Wojciechowski, Joan (Terry Ehrenberger) Hoffman, Clyde (Carol) Sprank, Sandra (Paul) Gerlach, Duane (Alice) Sprank, and Lori (Ron) Kilburg; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Lucke; brother and sister in-laws, Jeanette Sprank, Leanna Sieverding, Lillian (Albert “Bud”) Knake, Rosemary Roling, Frieda Ernst, Mary Lee Kilburg, Larry (Julie) Kilburg, Pat (Greg) Ernst, and Betty (Duane) Ernst; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Leo Sprank, Ardo Sprank, Martha (Sylvester) Schwager, Edna (John) Leonard, and Mavis (Leo) Meier; brothers and sisters in-law, Charles “Buzz” Lucke, Orville (Ivis) Kilburg, Eldon Sieverding, Orville Roling.
