Richard E. Jones

Richard 'Dick' E. Jones, 59, of Clinton, died Monday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Lemke Funeral Homes-South, 2600 Lincolnway, Clinton. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 PM at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joshua Jones, Jay Lohse, Paul Schmidt, Jeremy Jones, Harry Foley, and Ron Boekeloo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Zabransky and Johnny Joe Jones. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Richard was born March 22, 1948 in Clinton, to Eugene Charles Jones and Ramona (Quick) Jacobsen. He was a high school graduate. He was employed as a millwright with Todd & Sargeant, and B & K. Richard loved to fish, travel especially to Florida, and also enjoyed making people laugh. He is survived by his children; four sons; Richard Jones, of Clinton; Trevor Jones of Oregon; and Chauncy and Beau Jones both of Cedar Rapids; one daugther; Lisa Jones of Texas; his grandchildren; three brothers; Daniel (Lori) Andrews of Clinton; Kevin 'Joe' (Dana) Jones of Bettendorf; and Dennis Andrews of Clinton; four sisters; Cynthia (Nick) Holt; Deborah Andrews of Clinton; Shelly (Randy) Brewer of Clinton; and Linda Meyers of Glenwood, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers. Memorials may be made to the family.
