Rickie L. Budde

Rickie L. Budde, 71 of Springbrook, passed on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 16th, 2025 from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at Jeronimo’s Bar and Grill in Springbrook, Iowa. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Preston at a later date.

Rickie was born October 21, 1954, the son of Vernon and Lavita (Tebbe) Budde. He married Dory Klemme on August 31st, 1974. Rickie "papa" was a long-time businessman. The Corner Stop, Gooselake C-Store & Millenium Ballroom and later, Papa's Pumpkin Patch, which he treasured, bringing many smiles to so many families over the years.

Survivors include his wife, Dory; special daughter, Kathy Kilburg, children, Jesse (the late Theresa) Budde and Megan Hute, Jeremy (Michelle) Budde, Jill Huling, and Jennifer (Travis) Weber; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his 2 special "littles"; his faithful companion, Alvin; a sister, Connie (Lonnie) Ernst; sisters in-law, Linda Budde and Bev Cook; and numerous extended relatives and friends.

Rickie was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in-law, Theresa Budde; siblings, Loras Budde, Roger (Linda) Budde, and Dean Budde.
