Robert J. 'Bob' Grable

Robert Bob J. Grable, 83, of Davenport, formerly of Dubuque and Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at in the Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery, 2735 Windsor Ave. Dubuque. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the Service also at Mueller Chapel. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Robert, son of George & Edna Grable was born on November 23, 1930 in Bellevue, Iowa. He married Ann Grable. He worked for John Deere Dubuque Works for 35 years retiring in 1983. He enjoyed wood carving, gun collecting, camping and jazz music. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Ann, of Davenport; Children, Karen (Dennis) Massey, of Casa Grande, Arizona, David Grable, of Bellevue, Iowa, Maria Hernandez, of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-son, Michael (Susan), of Hirl, Cicero, Indiana; Step daughter in-law, Kathy (Rick) Adrian, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and brother, Donald Grable, of Margate, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Mark and Brian Grable; and step-son, Rick Adrian.
