Rose Weber

December 23, 1924 — March 18, 2014

Rose L. Weber, 89 of Dubuque, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2014, at Stone Hill Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial Will be held at 11:00 am Saturday morning, March 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Key West, with Rev. Jerry Blake Officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation for Rose will be held from 4 - 7pm, Friday at the Leonard Funeral Home in Dubuque and again Saturday morning from 10:00 - 10:45am at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home in Bellevue. Rose Flammang was born December 23, 1924, in Orleans, Nebraska, daughter of Nick and Christina (Herrig) Flammang. She married Neil Weber on February 16, 1943 in St. Donatus, he passed away July 7, 2002. Together Rose and Neil farmed near LaMotte for almost 50 years where they raised seven children. In 1991 they retired and moved to Bellevue, they later moved to Dubuque. Rose always wore a smile, she carried a positive attitude and was kind to everyone. She was a good listener and always put others before herself. Rose enjoyed embroidery, quilting and gardening. Her family meant the world to her, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Those left to honor her memory include her children, Bobby Weber, of Bellevue, Mary Ann (James) Klein, of Dubuque, Gary (Sharon), of Holy Cross, Diane (Roger) Michels of Andrew, Connie (Steve) Schlegel, of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters in-law, Bildad Weber and Sue Weber; 34 grandchildren,69 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary Weber and Jeannie Brosious. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Eldie and Richard; daughter in-law, donna Weber; three brothers and five sisters. The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Tri-Sate Dialysis, the staff of Stone Hill, Hospice of Dubuque and all friends and family who have shown Rose support when she needed it.Reception:Happy's Place2323 Rockdale Rd.Dubuque, IA 52003
