Roxy A. Roeder

Roxy Roeder, 75, of Las Vegas, formally of Clinton died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Las Vegas. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Monday, May 7th at Lemke Funeral Homes-South Chapel, 2600 Lincolnway with the Rev. Ken Greely officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before services from 9am to 10am. Pallbearers will be Randy Roeder, Rick Roeder, Ronald Roeder, Bill Barber, Burt Melvin and Tom Kennedy. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Services were also held Thursday, May 3, 2007 in Las Vegas. Roxy was born January 20, 1932 in Clinton to Charles and Cora (Koch) Roeder. He was employed with Eagle Food Center and Wonder Bread while living in the Clinton area. Roxy was also employed with Langendorf Bread Company as a delivery driver in Paso Robles, NV. He was an active Jaycees member, where he played Santa at Christmas. Roxy was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church where he participated in numerous church functions. He was always found time to watch his family participate in school functions and sport activities. He enjoyed traveling and went on numerous trips to Germany, Alaska and Canada. When it came time to retire, he and Carol Ann moved to Pollock Pines, CA. After seven years in California, they moved to Las Vegas, NV where they enjoyed the rest of their retirement years together. Roxy married Carol Ann Hull March 17, 1949 in Morrison, IL. His beloved wife preceded him in death on January 16, 2006. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Susan (Bill) Terry of Paso Robles, CA; three sons, Ronald (Julie) Roeder of Yerington, NV, Ricky (Janie) Roeder of Bakersfield, CA and Randy (Barbara) Roeder of Bakersfield, CA; five grandchildren Amos, Rick and Blake Roeder, Shayne and Stacy Terry, his brother Fred Roeder of Los Angeles and one sister-in-law, Arlene Murphy of Clinton, IA. His parents, two brothers, Alvin and Ervin Roeder, one sister, Eleanor Bergman and a son, Roxy Roeder, precede him in death.
