Sandra K. Dotson

Sandra K. Dotson, 58 of Dubuque, peacefully passed away on, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at The Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center, Surrounded by her loving family. A Private family service will be held, with the burial to be in the Perry Andrew Township Cemetery Andrew, Iowa. Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. Sandra was born on March 6, 1953 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Lund) Hancock. She married Woody Dotson Jr. on November 6, 1982 in Carpentersville IL. Sandra was a very special person to many, touching hearts through her caring and compassion shown through her jobs as a nurse. Sandra worked at the Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL, for many of years. She later worked at Mill Valley Care Center and Jackson County Public Hospital. Sandra was a very outgoing, and classy person, she loved to spend time crocheting, and spending free time camping. She will be deeply missed by all. Surviving is her husband Woody Dotson, of Dubuque; seven children, Paul Bennett, of Crystal Lake, IL, Sythia Crites, of Rochelle, IL, Darlene (Derrick) Mangler, of Bellevue, Anita (Patrick) King, of OFallon, Missouri, Randy Bennett, of Rockford, IL, Brian (Katie) Bennett, of Crystal Lake, IL, and Jerrod (Rachel) Dotson, of Monticello, IA; 14 grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, and Alexander Bennett, Dalton, Darien, and Deaunna Mangler, Elizabeth Crites, Shelby and Ashlee King, Dallas, Caitlin, and Gabriel Dotson, Zya Bennett, and one grandchild on the way; mother Lillian Hancock, of Elgin, IL two brothers, Tom (Clara) Buri, of Davenport, IA, and John (Janey) Buri, of Laveen, AZ.
