Sharyn Lee Symonds

Sharyn Lee Symonds, 70, of Bellevue, Iowa, formerly of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away Sunday morning, March, 2, 2014 at her home in Bellevue. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday morning March, 6 2014 at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Bellevue. Friends may call from Wednesday evening from 4 7:30 pm at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation in Bellevue. Sharyn was born on September 19, 1943 in Sycamore, Illinois to Carl and Elnora (Hill) Conard. She married Richard Symonds on June 8, 1963 Genoa, Illinois. Sharyn was a supportive and encouraging person with a whitty and sassy sense of humor. She always made time for her family and especially enjoyed family time at Christmas and special birthday shopping with her grandchildren. She took a lot of pride in decorating for the holidays, her favorite of which was Christmas. She enjoyed landscape gardening, shopping and road trips with her husband. Traveling to the Smokey Mountains in Gatlinberg, Tennessee was among her favorite places to visit. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard, of Bellevue; three children, Tracey (John) Rubel, of Bellevue, Shireen (Greg Luedke) Symonds, of Centennial, Colorado, and Richard Luke (Shannon) Symonds, of Rockford, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Paige, Carly, Reilly, Samantha, Alex, Mackenzie and Luke all of whom she was so proud; a brother, Gary (Linda) Conard, of Hernando, Florida; three nieces and four nephews.
