Louise C. Dieckman

Louise C. Dieckman, 93, of Bellevue, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 20 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. A visitation for Louise will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m., Monday evening at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue and again Tuesday morning at the church. Louise was born on August 23, 1918 in Andrew, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Anna (Cornelius) Ehl. She married Lester Dieckman on April 18, 1939 in Andrew, Iowa, he passed away April 21, 2004. Louise was a generous, compassionate person who took an interest in people. She always had time for others and was very giving of her time and resources. Prior to her marriage, she was a school teacher in Andrew. She was very active in her community and church. She was a member of the Sarah Circle for over 70 years, taught Sunday School and was the past director of Junior Lutherans. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, sewing, cooking, socializing and spending time with family. Those left to honor her memory include her two sons, Bill (Natalee) Dieckman, of Camanche and Steve (Carol) Saddoris, of Alburnette, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathleen; a brothers, John and a brother, Albert in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff and communities at Mill Valley Care Center and the Sunrise Villa for the care and compassion shown to Louise.
